Privacy at Runway
Runway is a financial-modeling tool. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to remove it.
What we collect
Your account. When you sign in, our authentication provider (Clerk) stores your account details — your email and sign-in credentials — and, if you subscribe to Pro, your billing status. Payments are handled by Stripe through Clerk; we never see your card number.
Saved scenarios (Pro). If you save a scenario, we store it in our database: a name you choose, the assumptions you entered, and timestamps, tied to your account id. Those figures describe a hypothetical business you model — not personal information about you.
Your working model. The model you edit lives in your browser (local storage) and never leaves your device unless you save it as a scenario or ask the AI co-pilot about it.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't log or store your conversations with the AI co-pilot — your question and model are sent to the AI provider to generate a reply and are not retained on our servers afterward. We don't track you across other sites.
How long we keep it
Saved scenarios stay until you delete them or delete your account. Account details are kept for as long as your account exists.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual saved scenarios at any time from the Scenarios menu. When you delete your account from your account settings, every scenario tied to it is automatically deleted from our database as well.
